Anselmo Andrade
Anselmo Andrade is the CEO and a founding partner of H2B2. Anselmo began his career in banking and financial consulting in London prior to H2B2´s inception in 2016. Anselmo holds a MSc Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BSc in Economics, Finance, and Management from Queen Mary, University of London. Anselmo was the CFO of H2B2 for the first 5 years after incorporation and then Head of the Business development division afterwards, with major achievements such as the “SoHyCal Project” awarded by the California Energy Commission. Anselmo has a solid background in Structured Finance with experience in Project Development and Project Finance in green hydrogen. Anselmo is also a founding patron of a Foundation named “Fundación para la Promoción de Microemprendimientos (FME)”.
Blanca Benjumea
Florencio Ferrera
Florencio Ferrera is an Industrial Engineer from the University of Seville, having completed a PDD (Management Development Program) at the IESE Business School of the University of Navarra. Until 2021, he developed his professional career in Abengoa’s Energy area, participating in multiple EPC international renewable energy projects, and performing different functions in engineering, construction and management. After this stage, he carried out management functions in different subsidiaries and was finally appointed executive director and general director of Abengoa Energía. He joined H2B2 in July 2021 as CEO of the company.
Javier Brey
Javier holds a Ph.D. from Pablo de Olavide University, Seville, is a Telecommunications Engineer who graduated from the University of Seville, and has completed a Management Development Program at the IESE Business School of the University of Navarra.
He has been involved in the hydrogen and fuel cell sector since 1998, having led projects, published numerous articles, and patented several inventions in this field. He was CEO of Abengoa’s hydrogen and fuel cell companies from 2001 to 2016, the year he branched out to establish H2B2. He is vice-chairman of the Energy and Hydrogen Alliance (EHA), chairman of the Spanish Hydrogen Association (AeH2), vice-chairman of the Spanish Fuel Cell Association (Appice) and secretary to the Spanish Hydrogen Technology Platform (PTeH2). He is also an associate professor at Loyola University in Andalusia.
Felipe Benjumea
Felipe began his career in investment banking in London, prior to joining H2B2 at the inception as a founding partner. Felipe holds a BsC in Business Administration from Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business in Saint Louis. For the first 5 years, Felipe acted as CFO of H2B2 and then CIO leading both the Business development and Investor Relations division, with major achievements such as the “SoHyCal Project” awarded by the California Energy Commission. Felipe has a solid background in Structured Finance with experience in Project Development and Project Finance in green hydrogen. Lastly, Felipe is also a founding patron of a Foundation named “Fundación para la Promoción de Microemprendimientos (FME)”.
Mario Barragán
Mario holds a Law Degree from the University of Seville. He has performed several positions in the renewable energy industries since 2009, mostly dedicated to operations, assets monitoring, contract management and integrated management systems. He has been involved in major achievements such as placing into commercial operations the world’s largest solar plant in the world in 2012 or leading the energy assets through the process to obtain necessary permits from the Spanish grid manager. In this regard, he has been closely tied to solar thermal, HCCP plants, and refineries developing his career mostly in Abengoa before landing in H2B2 in October of 2021, from where he deploys his expertise in the legal and systems areas.
África Castro
África is an Industrial Engineer with a Master’s in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency from the University of Zaragoza and has completed a PDD (Management Development Program) at the IESE Business School of the University of Navarra. She has been working in energy innovation for more than 25 years, with the last 21 dedicated to hydrogen and fuel cells. She has held positions of responsibility in the fields of technological innovation, corporate strategy, and institutional relations at regional, national, and international levels. She is the Vice-President of the Spanish Hydrogen Technology Platform (PTeH2) and is an appointed expert in working groups at the international level (European Clean Hydrogen Alliance, and Clean Hydrogen Mission on Mission Innovation).
Manuel Rodríguez
Manuel is a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Seville. He started working as a project engineer specializing in the mechanical part. He has worked on numerous projects in their different stages: design, construction, and start-up of industrial plants. He later became a development and production manager, taking care of all the technical and manufacturing issues for different equipment orders. Currently, he is head of manufacturing in the different hydrogen products developed by H2B2.
José Luis is an entrepreneurial and driven senior executive, with 20+ years of experience in engineering, procurement and EPC Projects management in Energy, in Europe, Mexico, USA and Middle East markets. High people management and communication skills, wide experience in complex deal environment, enjoys working in multi-disciplined teams, leading, coaching and motivating teams and professionals to top performers. He joined H2B2 in January 2023 as Procurement Director and Construction Lead.
Antonio Zamora
Industrial Technical Engineer (specializing in Power Plants) from the University of Jaén, Master of Maintenance of industrial facilities from the University of Seville, and Master in Business Management from the University of Loyola. Asset manager in the energy sector with 22 years of experience in different generation technologies (self-generation, cogeneration, medium power and high-power combined cycles and high-power combined cycles integration of concentrated solar thermal energy). Knowledge-based on management, coordinated collaboration, involvement, commitment, and dynamism to achieve the fulfillment of goals.
Electrical Engineer from IUPFAN and Master of Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Carabobo. He has performed several positions since 1998 in the construction of Power Plants as an I&C Engineer, Engineering Manager, and Commissioning Manager, and has been Project Manager for the last ten years. He joined H2B2 in Dec 2021 as PM of SoHyCal Project in California, USA, and is now based in Seville, Spain.
Pablo Molina
Pablo holds a BEng. in Electromechanical Engineering and MSc. in Industrial Engineering, both by Loyola University. He joined H2B2 in 2020 on the Proposals Department, being directly involved on setting solutions within all Hydrogen areas: electrolysers, hydrogen refueling stations, and energy storage solutions, between others, handling negotiations with both suppliers and customers. He is currently managing this Proposals Department.
Pablo is also developing a PhD on Hydrogen technologies in Loyola University.
He started working as a design technician (CAD), becoming later a development and production manager, taking care of all the technical and manufacturing issues for different equipment orders. He has been developing and managing the production of different engineering equipment, as project and technical manager of different companies related to the environment, energy, infrastructures, and, in general, all kinds of industrial machinery.
Covadonga holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Seville, a Diploma in Advanced Studies in control systems from the University of Huelva, and has completed a PDD (Management Development Program) at Loyola University Andalusia. She has 15 years of experience in the hydrogen and fuel cell sector. She has been in charge of project control, preparation of bids, negotiation of contracts, and technical-economic justification for innovation projects, with experience in the aerospace and defense sectors. She is currently leading as control manager of R&D projects.
Delia Muñoz
Delia is an Industrial Engineer from the University of Seville, specialized in Industrial Automatics; she has also completed a PMP (Project Management Professional) at the Seville Chamber of Commerce. She has more than 12 years of experience in projects based on hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. From 2012 she was project manager of the aerospace division at Abengoa Hidrogeno, leading projects focused on the use of hydrogen technologies for aerospace and defense applications, including all the phases of a project: engineering, construction and testing; implementation, monitoring and control of timelines, budget management, risk management, contracts and purchase orders. She is currently leading as PM of R&D projects.
Roberto Wilson
Roberto holds a degree in Economics from the University of Seville and a master’s in financial auditing & accounting from the University of Comillas (ICADE). He is also a CFA III Candidate. He started his experience in Financial Audit at EY and later in Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Development at SD Partners and CACEIS Bank. He has experience in transactions, turnarounds strategies and FP&A, with a focus on M&A and corporate development in technology, financial and industrial companies.
Pedro Pajares
Pedro has 20+ years of experience in engineering, management, and operations in the heavy industry and energy sectors, in Europe and the US markets.
During his 15 years in the US, he has been involved in the development and execution of renewable energy, biofuels, and recycling projects at project management and corporate operations levels. Holds a broad knowledge in the field of operations and management, together with strong communication and negotiation skills.
Dhiman Roy
Dhiman has 30 years of experience in the engineering and energy fields. Holds core competencies in P&L management, strategic business development, greenfield initiatives, project planning, and management & people leadership. He has completed major achievements around greenfield units and has formulated and implemented business development and policy advocacy strategies for several MNCs in different geographies.
Julián is an Electrical Engineer. He has more than 40 years of experience; he joined the sales division of the Energy Transmission and Distribution Sector with Abengoa México in 1985; he has more than 25 years of experience in the preparation and integration of proposals for the public sector and private. In 2008 he assumed the direction of the Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventory Management project at the same company.
